Re: R.B.I. Baseball 19 Arrives on March 5 - New Trailer and More Features Revealed
Wow has the show become that stagnant and stale for some people?
RBI 18 was fun for a little while...not as good as Super Mega though. RBl 19 should be fun too...I just wish they would add a retro mode with the fat little men.
Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"
Now Playing:
XB1 (Forza Motorsport 6 and Horizon 2)
Switch (Mario Kart and Zelda)
PS3 (old 2k games and the Show)

Could RBI baseball eventually dethrone The Show??? I'm actually looking forward to this game. The franchise mode additions and improvements have me intrigued. Can't say the same about The Show 19.

All RBI would have to do to beat the Show right now is add online franchise and season mode

If you haven't actually played RBI Baseball, then you don't know how frustrating the gameplay can be. I've thrown down money two years straight on the game (while also buying The Show), and I usually give up on RBI after a few games. The approach RBI takes to pitching & hitting takes a lot of getting use to. Go to YouTube to watch some games and you'll see what I mean.
So, unless there's a big makeover for the gameplay, not sure I'll give it a try again this year. There's a reason the early promos haven't shown any gameplay video.

Smart move releasing 3 weeks before The Show- reminds me of the old 32 bit days when releases would be moved around for a competitive advantage. Let's face it it's not the show but at least its an option.

RBI is still a 20 minute game and takes after it's predecessor from the 80's, quick and sometimes fun. It's not a sim compared to The Show, apples to oranges.

For the first time ever, I'm going to buy this game alongside MLB the Show 19. The more baseball games, the better. No harm in giving this a try. I like what I saw in the "gameplay trailer." Seems to be improving.

Sure, but why not promote it as such. The promotion has been so dramatic and engaging -- it's like apples and oranges between the perception of what you're going to get and the actual game.
