I really hope it’s not online only for the final state of the game. I would love some sort of single/couch co-op campaign, everyone doesn’t want to play online all the time lol. I’m looking forward to more gameplay.

Whenever they start a article with "This is not a simulation", I usually stop reading, because they are going to give me a bunch of cliche's and nonsense to downplay the fact that the game is going to be nonsense. I would love a Street Hoops type of game with a simulation style but arcade type of feel. How many times do these types of games have to fail before they try something different. Its probably going to be an online affair. This year marks my 10th game i've played online... EVER!! So that tells you how much I care about online gaming.

one of the nba street guys is the creative director, so that's a plus, right? just wondering why they didn't just remaster nba street since that is such a revered game. just remastering it in this art style would have been pretty cool.

They don't have the rights to 'NBA Street' (that belongs to EA), the source code of the original game or the NBA/NBPA license.

So, they are making a 'spiritual sequel' without any of that attached.

I'm all for competition in the marketplace, but the character designs are looking pretty bad so far.
