I watched this movie again for the first time in forever. Still a very powerful film. I suggest anyone who hasn't seen it check it out.

Yeah it's a great flick. Really makes you realise for every LeBron or Kobe there are probably thousands of William Gates or Arthur Agee's.

One of my favorite lines out of all sports flicks.

What are the rest of the classic hoop movies? I never heard of the basketball diaries. I'd be down for getting a few to watch. Hoop Dreams was great stuff.

I was not a huge fan of Basketball Diaries, probably in large part to Leo being cast as Jim Carrol.

Not hardly a classic, but I enjoyed The 6th Man with Marlon Wayans and Kadeem Hardison. But it could be largely attributed to UK's own Travis Ford dunks the ball in that movie

haha yeah that was a pretty ordinary movie so seeing Ford's arial skills must have helped.

Celtic pride was another basketball related comedy that was pretty ordinary to say the least....
