I want a good college BBall game. But if I get some stunk up rendition that doesn't have a solid legacy mode with good recruiting and ability to work my way up from a small school in a way that makes sense (here's looking at you failed NCAA Football coaching carousel), then no, I won't be buying.

There are plenty of good college basketball games out already. I won't buy something just because it's new. I'll buy it because it's good.

We already have one called College Hoops 2K8. If the game sucks, no way I pull the trigger. Even if it's good, I don't play much in the way of console video games anymore aside from CH 2K8 and sometimes EA NCAA Football, so I'm not sure if I will even buy a next-gen console (if I do, it will probably be later in their development cycle).

There's an article in the USA today clamoring on about how popular March madness is this time of year. And who doesn't already know that?

Look, a college basketball game is a must but it needs to hit shelves closer to March madness. Late febuary would work. During or right before the conference tournaments begin. That's when the tournament begins their advertisements, bracket challenges, ESPN gets heavy on the lunardi bracketology, marketing. Lets face it, March madness is popular beyond belief, the regular season isn't, at least not to the casual college hoops fan.

I don't know if I agree with saying release it in February or march. The hardcore choops fans would be peaved off and honestly the marketing craze could be made this time of the year regardless of when the game came out. If it is released in November and sells 500k through February they should push another marketing campaign to soak up the rest of the market and sell hopefully another 500k. This would keep everyone happy and potentially make it profitable to make an NCAA game.
