There is no way to tell, but when I think about it, I doubt they would have released a game better than Live 14, if they did it today.

I think the last decent non-2K or EA game was either NBA Starting Five 2005 or NBA ID 2004 (which I never played).
Yea guilty as charged. I really enjoyed the options even tho they weren't all that great. Each had its own thing goin

Actually, NBA Starting Five was originally NBA 2Night (and 2Night 2002). Then they released NBA Starting Five for the 2003 season. Later they released NBA Starting Five 2005 (Japan-only), which was their best effort. That game had signature animations, accurate faces and accessories and decent on-court action...as well as legend players from the past.

T-Mac was on the cover of NBA 2Night 2002 and NBA Starting Five, then he was on the cover of NBA Shootout 2004. But the games weren't related. NBA SF was made by Konami.

I actually really wanted Konami to team up with another company, and release a basketball title.

Re: 989 sports, where you at?

I remember buying Live, In the Zone, & Shootout and actually playing them all!

Shootout had a good PA announcer. I mean that's all I liked about it. I only played the first two though. In the Zone I believe had the first post game. Players were really solid and you could create a great Jordan.

Miss having all those options.
