#4 Kentucky defeats Tennessee in a home game, 81-56 to improve to 20-5(9-3). This is Kentucky's third win in a row.

Both teams struggled out of the gate and the first half was very close with Kentucky ahead only by two at halftime, 28-26. Second half was no contest as the Wildcats mopped the floor with the Volunteers, 53-30.

The Volunteers struggled to handle the ball as the Wildcats managed to snag 13 steals, resulting in the Volunteers having an eventual 20 turnovers for the game.

Player of the game was JR C John Gentry with 17 points and 6 rebounds
FR SF Mike Cunningham would add 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists
FR C Darrell Deren would finish with 8 points and 6 rebounds
SR PG Henry Strong added 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals
SR SG Jason Winter finished with 6 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals

The bench was led by JR PF Tyson Braun with 9 points and 6 rebounds
FR SG Cole Belton would also add 10 points off the bench

Next game is at #17 Florida(17-6)(8-4) Kentucky is a 4.5 point favorite

Re: DDS College Basketball 22 Career Thread

The game against Florida was a heartbreaker. Lost by one point 73-72. FR SG Cole Belton had his best game of the year off the bench with 15 points but it wasn't enough. With that loss Kentucky falls to 20-6(9-4) We only shot 36.8% from the field.

#4 Kentucky would then bounce back to destroy Texas A&M in a home game,83-59. With that win their record is 21-6(10-4)

JR C John Gentry was player of the game with 15 points and 12 rebounds
FR SF Mike Cunningham finished with 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 blocks
SR SG Jason Winter had 12 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds
JR PF Tyson Braun led the bench with 9 points and 4 rebounds.

Next game is against Alabama(13-13)(2-12) in a home game. Kentucky is a 13.5 point favorite

Re: DDS College Basketball 22 Career Thread

As we know the Transfer Portal changes everything. With the guys that I brought in in the previous off-season leading the way, 2 were POtY in their small school conferences. I went 18-2 in conference, lost in the Conference Final though, got a 6 seed in the NCAAs and went on a improbable run to the Final 4.

I lost to an 8th seed ironically, it was Notre Dame though, who went on to upset Overall number 1 Cincinnati. in the Title game. Only 2 guys transferred, I thought that it would be 4. There were no tempting job offers this time, so it was easy to return and see if we can make other run.

Spoiler
Does Alabama have a lot of games where they were blown out by 40 plus points? If not then everything is fine, but if so then their "style of offensive" setting is bugged.

They're a very mediocre team. They did have one other game where they lost by 33 but their wins/losses are very consistent with a mediocre team.

Re: DDS College Basketball 22 Career Thread

The Radford franchise is on a small hiatus as I wait on my buddy to get his game played. We've only got a few games left on the year.

I have made headway with a 3 star center that I hope ends up committing in the spring. That will be a huge boost to a roster that is about to lose a ton of production.

It has been an up and down season. My nonconference play had me excited to see where the season would go. The way my team has performed in the conference, mainly on the road, has me scratching my head all too often. We will see what recruiting and the transfer portal bring us. I feel I'll need a real infusion of talent to get the type of run I need to find a new landing spot.
