Re: DDS College Basketball 22 Career Thread

First few weeks of the new season have went well. After the loss to Saint Mary's we've won 4 in a row, defeating George Mason, Portland St, Arizona St, and Louisiana Tech. Those 4 games are part of a 7 game stretch of home games for us. The next game is against the Indiana Hoosiers (3-3)

Our current record is 6-1 and we are ranked #9. This non-conference schedule has definitely been easier than last season. It's going to hurt my NET rating but we're going to make up for it when we get in league play as there are 5 other ranked teams in the SEC. I'm predicting going 11-2 in non conference play, the same as last year but an easier schedule. I'm predicting 11-7 for SEC play, 22-9 overall before the conference tournament. Probably looking at a 3 or 4 seed for the NCAA tournament.

Sucks that I have 7 seniors. Next year's incoming class is going to be really good and if timing had been just a little different we could've had an amazing team.

Re: DDS College Basketball 22 Career Thread

Kentucky defeated Indiana 83-79. Kentucky was ahead most of that game and about let it slip away. May have been easier but we've had a couple players with nagging minor injuries that I won't play. Selby has had a sprained hamstring and missed this game. Grant Owens, my backup PF, has had a sore leg. Played some third stringers for this one.
Gentry had 18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 7 blocks!

Kentucky then defeated Eastern Washington 87-78. Selby and Owens still out for this one.
Gentry finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks
Mike Carter had 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks
Tyson Braun was player of the game with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks
Aaron Bailey, my third string PF, playing in place of Owens, had 14 points off the bench. That kid is a potential 4 star player but right now he's a 1 1/2 star, Freshman, local kid. He went 6/7 from the field in that game. Great game for him

After those wins we are now ranked #5 with a record of 8-1
Next game is against #24 Louisville(6-2). We'll be looking to avenge our loss from last year. Owens should be back for that game, Selby still going to be out.

By the way, Saint Mary's, the only team that has beat us so far, has actually turned out to be pretty good. They are currently ranked #9 and have a record of 8-2.
Not too bad of a season at all so far.

I literally wish for this change everyday, and it's finally coming.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Re: DDS College Basketball 22 Career Thread

Haven't updated in a while. The regular season is finished and in my 7th season with the Kentucky Wildcats we finished 19-12(8-10) After doing pretty great in the non conference, we had a rough conference run. We had several injuries but we just lost some inexcusable games. We are the 2nd team out on the bubble so really hope we can make some noise in the SEC tournament.

John Gentry was our best player with 13.7 pts, 8.2 rebs, and 2.3 blks per game. He's a Senior, definitely going to miss him. Actually, our top 4 scorers are all seniors. We have 7 seniors overall. However, we have a great class coming in. I think we're going to be a lot better next season actually. Looking forward to it.

Re: DDS College Basketball 22 Career Thread

Lost in the first round of the SEC Tournament and ended up in the NIT. Although I was disappointed we did well in the NIT. We defeated 3 teams in the NIT and found ourselves in the semifinals. We would lose to the Utah Utes in the semifinals of the NIT and the Utes would go on to win the NIT.

Definitely ready for this 8th season. In addition to having the 5th best recruiting class, we also picked up two transfers. One of the transfers we picked up was 3.5 star Junior Andy Strong from Maryland. We needed a backup Center as there was only one on the team and not only did we get a backup Center he'll be our new starting Center.

Starting lineup looks like this
PG SR Mike Carter (4 star)
SG FR Wes Robinson (5 star)
SF SO Grant Owens (3 star)
PF JR Thurman Hill (4 star)
C JR Andy Strong (3.5 star)

In the preseason rankings we are ranked #12.
