This is great but I can't help but think the timing is terrible with College Football 25 coming out a month later. This could have done so much better than it will had it been released a year ago, but I know that is no fault of the developer.


I'll definitely be buying this to support them and give it as much time as I can.

Maybe, but I was kind of thinking the CFB 25 hype train might help it. People are already excited about CFB25 and this will, at worst, be something a lot of people purchase to tide them over for a month.

It also looks like you can change sides (or change to CPU vs CPU) during games! This is something that only NBA2k and The Show offer now I believe.

Damn, can't believe it's been 3 years since I've posted.

Anyway, College Bowl is awesome. I do have a couple of minor issues, if anyone is experiencing these.

1) Sound effects specifically after a score or FG are extremely loud. Very unpleasant to the ears. I've tried lowering all the volume sliders to basically a whisper and it's still piercing loud. I can lower each individual thing like crowd, announcer, footsteps, etc but the "gamey" sound effects are crazy loud.

2) CPU offensive blocking feels almost too locked in/suction. I've tried both All American and All Conference. Both felt like breaking from a block was rare. I'm assuming the CPU blocking slider could resolve this. I'm just interested if anyone is feeling the same or have all my test defenses been skipping the weight room?

Outside of those, it's a big step up from Legend Bowl. Huge thanks to KingJavo for the fantastic game. You rock!

Side note: I never had the two above problems in LB.

There are already mods available to add NCAA teams, yes (although with the caveat that the game maxes out with 64 teams so it’s not an exact replica of FBS).

Just real teams though, the mod doesn’t contain real players.
