I tend to agree with drae2....I feel ESPN provides a more realistic football experience. It does have it's bugs and issues, but overall the gameplay is what keeps me coming back to this title for my football fix.

You know, I'm gonna go with NCAA. Better than ESPN or Madden. But if I picked a pro game I'd say Madden.

I have both these games and too be honest ESPN looks pretty but after about 5-10 games it becomes average. Madden's game play is better and franchise is better. I tried to give ESPN a try several times in franchise but everything was just so screwed up.

I would definetly reccomend ESPN just for pick up and play games vs anoter person. But for single game play Madden with adjusted sliders is far better.

Re: ESPN NFL Football 2K5 or Madden 2005?

I think alot of people who chose madden over ESPN are playing the ps2 versions of both....

Hands down ESPN NFL 2k5 takes the Crown. On the XBOX that is.....because if you play it any other way...it does the franchise unjustice.... ESPN...

Madden's Run game is weak and the passing game is too arcadish..whack presentation, the franchise isn't all that. Its ok if you want to buy hot dogs...blah...

ESPN portrays the NFL like its suppose to. Nice Franchise, Nice stat tracking, weekly wrap ups. Nice run game, great maximum passing! With the right sliders excellent gameplay. Presentation is un matched and Graphics and commentary and realism wise. Its years ahead of Madden....

ESPN wins...ESPN NFL 2k5 its really in the game. EA is just in the name and the fame....

ESPN is the winner...
