AFL Release Date?

When is this game coming out, because the afl season just started. But I just cant wait this game will be off the hook. Im just pumped, if you have ever been to one it's awesome.

I'm thinking it will be out next year. Because in IGN it said it will be ready for release by the start of the 2006 AFL season. I will probably end up buying this game. I wonder how the gameplay is going to be.

Dont look for it this year since they just made the announcement ot too long ago. Hopefully its a sim and not arcade style.

I think its arena not Austalian. Although I wouldn't mind taking the Crows for a season.

I really hope EA puts this license in the hands of the right development house. I've had some nagging feelings that the purchase of this license might be nothing more than a war by attrition move by EA. Just getting the license to prevent TT/VC from converting their current engine and creating another licensed game to compete against. But, nevermind my misplaced thoughts of conspiracy.

I've said before that an AFL/AF2 title would be the perfect place for EA Big to prove they can do more than arcade style sports titles. Not to say that arena football isn't a little arcade in design, but in terms of indepth franchise and career modes.
