Scotiabank to sponsor CFL Conference Championship Games

I know it brings money to the league but I don't like it. I bet you by next year the Grey Cup will be renamed something like RBC Grey Cup.

The CFL already added Rona patches on all the jerseys this season.

Hell, whatever helps the CFL is fine by me. The Rona logos on the jerseys dont bug me as they used to. It reminds me of all the AHL teams having a corporate logo on their chest.

The Rona logos are akin to having Nike swooshes on uniforms or in the CFL's case the reebok logos on the shoulders. This is another positive move for the CFL. Corporate sponsorship is the in thing in sports these days so why fight it? At least it'll give the league added revenue streams.

Re: Scotiabank to sponsor CFL Conference Championship Games

im all in favor of whatever it takes for this league to make it. i have direct tv and i ordered the multi sports package exclusively to watch cfl games. i have not been disappointed in the least. i pretty much gave up watching preseason nfl games, regular season cfl games are much better.

i would be curious to know how the cfl is doing ratings wise in the u.s. as far as televised coverage goes. i can't imagine anyone who is a football junkie such as myself not loving the cfl. any intelligent football fan who watched one game would relize just how great the cfl is. and i can't imagine anyone who likes arena not realizing the cfl is much better.

Good call, I agree 100% STO, anything to bring sponsorship for the CFL is a good thing, the logo's do not bother me one bit ( look at footy and their ad fest's on their kits ), its a good thing no doubt.

Besides, they do not look all that offensive anyways.
