I think TSN's ties to ESPn from an ownership standpoint is virtually dead now as most of the ESPN canadian rights are going to RSN. CTV/Bell Globemedia have done a fairly good job at running the company.

I think ESPN soured on their ownership of TSN when the idea of renaming the network ESPN Canada was rejected a few yrs ago.

Well ESPN should be happy the classic channel is called ESPN Classic Canada.

The Rugrider game was blocked here which was probably a good thing or I would have a large hole in the screen to deal with.

The CBC will be back by the time hockey starts. There is no way either side would want to lose any of the money that HNIC brings the network. That is by far their biggest revenue generator and the network does not want to lose any more money because of not having HNIC.
