Just seems pointless to me. He won't get paid much, he might get hurt, and he will have a job in the NFL no matter what. Plus, this year off, if he spends it just getting high and staying in shape, the Dolphins might like that better than if he was taking hits in the CFL.

The Dolphins aren't happy about the injury risk but Ricky has a 4th kid on the way and is dead broke. He makes 0 in the NFL right now and could earn over $300,000 in the CFL with incentives and endorsements. Either way, he still has to submit to testing. If you are banned for a year, you have to stay clean for one year with tests up to ten times a month just for the right to re-apply for the league.

The drug testing is a non issue really in this decision. Its all about making some extra money versus the injury risk (its not that physical a league, 2 downs, etc.). I think this will actually be a good thing for him and he's more likely to stay in shape in the CFL rather than doing yoga in India.

Blinkie is already there at RB. Smith and Roberts could be a nice thunder and lightning combo.
