2-1 with that demolition of Edmonton yesterday. The D is looking pretty good for a change. Got burned on the deep ball a few times, but they stuffed them in the redzone on multiple occasions.

I saw today that former FSU CB Stanford Samuels signed a free agent deal with Edmonton. How good of a CB is he in the CFL?

Don't know much about the guy but he played in Winnipeg which saw some improvement on the defensive side of the ball last season. Here's a little blurb for ya.

In 29 games for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers over the last two seasons, Samuels posted 89 defensive tackles, one quarterback sack and two forced fumbles.

So he hasn't been All-World but he seems like a pretty solid player.

Sounds about right. He was a pretty good prospect when he came to FSU but injuries (he was at FSU 6 years) prevented him from becoming an great player. I feel sorry for any CFL receiver coming into Samuels' zone.
