Did anyone enjoy the First NFL Gameday?

Gameday was the sole reason I purchased a PS1. Nothing but fond memories of that game and the stiff arms and jukes were insane. They changed the game of football forever when 989 made the jump from sprites to polygon shaped players - can't remember what year that was, I believe Bettis was on the cover.

Great memories man. I went to a store called Hills with my dad, I had saved up a whole bunch of money from my birthday and doing yard work and stuff. I got the PS1 Gameday, and Ridge Racer because my dad wanted a racing game. I was in heaven man.

I remember being in such awe of the graphics. Destruction Derby, Wipeout, and Twisted Metal all blew my mind when they were released as well.

I played the CRAP out of Gameday on the PSX. I wanted Madden after being a big Madden player on the SEGA's but was given Gameday for my birthday instead. I remember a lot of small things about the game, like how the crowd (or maybe it was the stadium music) would make that "thigh thigh clap" noise, kinda like from "We will rock you".

Was this when EA had troubles getting Madden to the PSX? M96 maybe? Possibly why I didn't get Madden instead.

Never played another Gameday after the original, but it was good fun.
