It's amazing that people are being so negative after seeing a few pics and a very evidently early build of the game. The game doesn't come out until what, the fall of next year? Wow.

We're judging what we've been shown. No point getting all hyped up fantasizing about a bunch of stuff that we haven't seen yet.

I think that they have been trying to get these companies to use this engine. This is probably their attempt to show EA and 2K how much better this engine will make their games.

I kind of agree but on the other hand: how satisfied with EA and 2k are we?

EA has been using pretty much the same "winning" football formula since 1998.

2k has been relegated to just using legends and generic dudes(which is my fav football game right now) but doesn't have franchise or any other bells and whistles that we come to expect.

So maybe a whole new group of people from a different company with a new engine and a new take on the game of football is what we need. I want to play a good, new game of football and not just a glorified roster update every year.

Just my 2 cents

Actually its set to come out early next year probably Spring time, a good time before NCAA, Madden the the sequel to All Pro

I don't mind the way the players look, i'm just afraid that there won't be much content outside of the on the field stuff.

Re: New BackBreaker Pic!

I think it sounds great, without having to work on 500 different animations and how they will blend and react with each other you can work on the actual gameplay. They have already stated that they will include extensive customization.

This system goes way past tackling, and is in no way a "rag doll" physics engine. It simulates height, weight, speed, limbs, body, momentum, and a host of other things in to the equation when a tackle is made. Also, there will be no more ball warping in to DB or WR hands, the engine makes the receiver have to reach for the ball to make a play on it, no animation warping.

Lastly, now pile-ups after fumbles are now a reality, something that has never been done.

Re: New BackBreaker Pic!

The non canned animations alone are a good selling point. Pile ups for fumbles and true gang tackling have never been implemented in any video football game before. The only thing that is next generation with EA and 2K football are the graphics. The game play for XBOX 360 and PS3 football games could be done on the XBOX and PS2.
