Re: World Premier of Backbreaker's new trailer

Tackles are at 90fps^.

But you really can't take much from the video. I mean who knows if they have silent count in this game. Every player could reacts on their own and since it was slow mo it just looked odd. The running looked nice with the body weight shifting back and forth on each step.
Just to inform you this is not an NFL game.

Release date from what I saw was 12-15-08

I think they captured the tackles at 90fps I doubt the 360 or PS3 will be able to display them at 90fps more likely 30 or 60.

There is no motion capturing tackles in the game. So, I am going to have to wait and see what they are talking about then

that means they want people to pick it up after they become sick of madden and people who pass it up all together. It's not a bad move, and I guess others will learn (including them) if it's a decent strategy - because people are still very excited about football at that time, and Madden and NCAA would be 4 and 5 months old at that point.

If this is the case, I would expect much more info and footage starting in september.

We shall see.

turns out that they aired the wrong trailer. I recommend you guys who hated this version to watch this new one. Its not much different but you can tell it has improvements.

Re: World Premier of Backbreaker's new trailer

Also to put some rumors to rest:

Player models will differ by the final version (confirmed by a dev)
A previous SS shows all of the lineman (so this is 11v11)
Everything is physics based (90 fps is achievable, this is next gen, EA just doesn't know how to harness it)
I don't think numbers matter in the BFL, but the second trailer has some changed numbers
The field is 100 yards as illustrated by tackle alley

I really want people on OS to like it, but its not looking good. When info starts pouring in some more I have a feeling it could still turn some heads. Obviously its not an NFL game but that shouldn't prevent you from buying something that could potentially be better than APF, which I heard was way better than Madden. But I don't want to force this on anyone since I could end up being wrong.

Re: World Premier of Backbreaker's new trailer

Why are the players so big? The uniforms look bad and it's funny that they highlight the offensive linemen standing still after the play starts.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
