Did LB George White retire? I read that he got released from Calgary a couple years ago cause he blew out his achilles in a basketball game (more than likely at his/my old HS with his friends). However I've noticed that he isn't on anyone's roster this season

He signed on with B.C. after being cut by Calgary but then was subsequently released by B.C. I don't know for sure but I follow the CFL and he is not currently playing. I assume he must be retired, either by choice or because he can't crack any CFL lineup.

He was on the practice roster for the Saskatchewan Roughriders this preseason and was expected to make the team in a backup role but reinjured his recurring leg injury (not sure what it was, achilles you said??) and disappeared from their roster for the start of the year. So as the other poster said safe to assume his football career is probably over.
