Maybe the camera should be shifted and zoomed more to the player you control rather than just where the ball is.

Everyone always talks about the offensive side of things when they play from my experience. Whenever you read impressions, it's all refering to offense. the run game, inside vs. outside runs, passing game, man vs. zone (when you play offense) with very little attention to detail to the defense. Furthermore, many people here simply play with a DL all the time and just swith to players as the ball gets passed or the play breaks away from them.

If EA made playing defense more fun, the game would be a lot better. Most don't like playing with a CB since the camera isn't centered on them and it's hard. EA really needs to consider providing more position specific controls to these guys. If you play as a DL, the R-stick should have a bunch of moves mapped to it - rip, swim, spin, etc. If you play as a DB maybe the R-stick should have hand check, jams, back pedal mapped to help cover guys better.

Just my two cents.
I agree. For many years I've been wanting a camera system that mirrored the CAMS system from FPSFB. You even could fully customize the camera. Tell it to follow the ball, one player etc like what SS mode does now....
So basically a start would be to give us at least the SS camera for when we play defense.

Additionally I would really love a new passing system. One that gives us more control over thrown balls. Maybe a variation of the Read and Lead system.

That's a start and just a sample of my .02

Very simply, all football games have to have the option for the camera to not switch on a change of possession. Now for multiplayer games or if you like viewing it from the offensive side always, you could switch on the 'switch on change of possession option'.

But lets say you are playing the CPU and want to always be viewing the action from behind your team. (the same camera angle that doesn't switch on a turnover or change of possession)

There also won't be that "pause" that is in some football games when a player on the other side of the ball takes possession of the football.

I'd love to play a game like NCAA Football 08 on Original Xbox with that option to have the camera not switch when the CPU gets the ball.

I'd like to defend a kickoff by running down the field with my team from behind my kick off specialist and have to find a way through on coming tacklers to the kick returner.
