Icon5 SCEA Football?

I was wondering why SCEA hasn't thrown their hat into the NFL mix on PS3. I know EA has the license for the NFL, but a stipulation of that license was that MS, Sony, and Nintendo could release licensed games for their respective consoles. Sony made a great game with The Show series for PS2/3. With the success they've enjoyed with that franchise, why don't they make an NFL game and try to give EA some competition?

Re: SCEA Football?

no, your thinking about the deal 2k has with MLB.

EA has the full NFL license.... which is quite sad because I love the NFL so much....but its also the NFL's fault as well..... I think its time for the government to step in and do something with the NFL because they are operating like a monopoly....

anyway as far as SCEA.... I wish they would just take over the Backbreaker game and just fine tune it and release it on the PSN for $29.99..... they would get alot of sales.

or

find the RedZone team (where ever they are) or they can just have a small crew from their San Diego team (if possible) use MLB The Show engine and release a customizable football simulation...on the PSN again......

Just because The Show is great, doesn't mean a football game would be as well. Look at their NBA game for example.

Understood, but like in all sports, competition is always welcome.

That is more of an example of laziness at the most simple level. It has all the bells and whistles but just is missing essential things (A couple of black players are white, Kobe looks like Bill Cosby, etc.). If they put in the effort for a football game like they do with the Show I would definitely buy it.
