College by a kilometer.

I like the NFL a lot, as well, but college is just so much more exciting and I enjoy the atmosphere and like that there aren't the egos of the NFL. It's more about the love of the game as opposed to being all about money.

Re: College or pro football?

As ironic as it is (I'm from Eugene and a current student at the UofO, attend every game I can, when the student union doesn't eff up the distribution of tickets... why the hell do the freshman buy first? have they been here four years?)...

Anyway, irony aside, I CANNOT get over the freak athletes in the NFL. Just can't. Yeah, there are big guys, strong guy, fast guys, in college. But when those guys go to the next level (unless they are AP, who we destroyed his last year, btw) they are just another player.

For that reason alone, the NFL will always be king.

Re: College or pro football?

I like FCS football better than FBS . FBS is my least favorite football due to the postseason. Pro is the best talent with a true championship.

Re: College or pro football?

Let me put it this way:

If I had to choose between watching the Cleveland Browns, or the Ohio State Buckeyes, then I choose the Browns. (If I absolutely HAD to choose.)
If I had to choose between watching a non-Browns NFL game, or a non-tOSU college game, then I choose the college game. (Love watching bowl games, but wish there was a playoff for the top teams.)

Re: College or pro football?

I love the college pageantry and tradition. But I just don't get as pumped on Saturday as I do on Sunday.

As far as the playoffs, once college goes to the playoffs they may as well get rid of all the tradition. I used to love the debate of who was the best, waiting for the rankings, not ever really knowing. It was unique to all of sports. Once we finally get a playoff, it will be no different than now. Instead of arguing that the third team was left out, we will be arguing that the 5th team or the ninth team was left out. Especially since you know the big conferences will have their automatic bids to ensure they will always be the big dog keeping the smaller conferences small.

No one will ever be happy with the system. Look at the college touney. After the brackets come out, the second thing they talk about after who is the no. 1 seeds is who didn't get in.

(Sorry about the rant.)
