Wondering who might be part of this project. Wonder if BudCat creations, developer of the AFL: Road to Glory game would be up to this or does EA own the rights to their arena league engine? I'd love to play another indoor football game.

David Winter is a smart guy and an incredibly passionate hard worker. You'd have to be in order to create a football game from scratch all by yourself.

But the IFL only started in 2008, and it's really a minor league of the minor leagues of pro football. There is no market for the game. The whole idea of making this game seems strange to me.

Wrong. Indoor football is its own game, not a minor league for the NFL, that's what college football (and I guess the new UFL too) is for. Watch a game of indoor football then compare it to the NFL... hence the nickname "speedball" Indoor is much more fast paced and is all about how quick you are. It's more than a niche and it's growing everywhere... not just Texas

Not sure if this is still in the works, but at one point I think David was considering 3 seperate releases, a CFL, US, and Indoor.

That would be tight if a CFL game gets made but I doubt it. Who is this David Winter guy?
