A number of things the guy says on the forums there, makes me skeptical. His reasoning that somehow the CFL game has to be cartoony and arcade and then attributes that to resources, is a question mark.

His only real hope is trying to convince EA to let him get a small team together and make use of their in-house code already in place (like was done with Madden for Wii), because building it from scratch even for an arcadey cartoony game is going to cost a lot more resource-wise than I think he's anticipating. I mean, "from scratch" in video game development isn't a light phrase.

Then his idea that TSN HAS to be in the game is handcuffed thinking. He could very easily have a comparable network design without TSN (unless TSN and the CFL have some kind of "you can't move without us" deal in place) which would save the project some money.This has been done effectively many times before.

I wish him well, but I think he has some wrongheaded ideas that are sure to kill the project unless he's able to become a great politician.
