I'm hoping for something, too. Even if it's just "sorry guys the project has been put on ice". It's been over a year since I posted in this thread and I was expecting all these incredible updates/videos/screenshots and was pretty let down. I'm not going to call it a hoax or anything like that, I figure something has come up that has either stalled or cancelled the game. Would be nice to know either way.

Yeah, definitely guessing this was put on ice. It's too bad, I remember a couple years ago hearing about this, kinda just now remembered. Understandable though. Making a sim sports game of any type is a big undertaking.

Then stopped posting for a couple months.

Then asked for money for this project (only 7 people did), which instead of being a game was turned into a 'you can make your own football game with my tools if I can raise $25k' here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2044119756

...and then never posted again. When his kickstarter failed he posted a private update to the people who tried to give him money but he hasn't been back.

So yeah, this is pretty much done unless it comes out of nowhere abruptly. With the website for it going to the Kickstarter there's no reason to think otherwise.

Indy Rugby Game - Rugby Dynasty The World Cup Project

Not American football, but looks like someone is successful at making a game (PC). And hey, actual real gameplay footage, and a playable downloadable demo. Probably 'easier' to program but regardless, this is how it's done. Offer substance, then ask for investments.

I made the previous post to illustrate a point.

I followed TheWatcher's 'football making' journey briefly from the beginning. But since it never amounted to much of anything more than hype, and then stumbling onto an indie project that actually has substance (i.e. Rugby Dynasty World Cup), I wanted to post an example where someone (group of 2 individuals I believe) was able to put out a viable, playable, real product.
