I've gone back on my view of this. I played 15 games last night, they all quit on my (at least 5 in the top 20, bleh, patch can't get here soon enough). I never moved an inch on my rating. Then I play a guy, get 1 win, in a really good game, and I go from 32 to 33. Played another 5 or 6 games, all quit, and never moved again. I know when I lost a game to LKN PapaBear (think that's right, I tweated about it, he's the best player I've faced), I went from like 31 to 26, so the drop was significant. That's why I can't believe it takes 40+ wins to go from 32 to 33. That's just too much.

Sorry for the confusion guys. I was playing so many games, and they were all over the place. Now that guys have figured out they can quit, most of them are doing just that. Maybe we should create a list of guys to kick so we don't waste our time.

Re: Tecmo Bowl Throwback - rage quitters

this is exactly like when Magic came out for xbox live. That game used trueskill and no quitter penalty really, it does change your rating when someone quits on you, I wouldnt worry too much. Its actually fine in tecmo. In magic, if someone quit before the end of the game, you wouldnt get a card unlocked, which was super annoying (then again, conceding is actually very very common in MTG and the XBL game didnt handle it) Not that you guys care about nerd stuff =O Although MTG for xbla is a great game btw.

The only thing like this in tecmo is the achievement for winning by 18. I think its actually fine where it is, what is this penalty that they are proposing? They just need to fix the lag, which I doubt they will.

I started off at Rank 99 today. 5 wins and 3 rage quits later I'm at 55.

Thanks.

It's even funnier when the rage quitter is playing as Dallas - the best team in the game.

Not for me anymore.. I lose rank.. this game is pointless to play online right now without Win/loss records.

Haven't lost yet.. but I lose trueskill when people quit

Found this link to the guy that beat me. His profile is listed on the page. He told me when we played that he had made a game, but I didn't quite know what he meant. Now I do.

I know I barely post, but I never quit anything. X Matt Young X. You'll probably beat my ***.

It's funny because it was Marcus Allen in the backfield when Montana was there not Okoye.
Unless I entered the names wrong, Word gets half the carries for KC (always makes me want chicken...), and he's actually better than Okoye.

The Christian Okoye/Barry Word combo for KC back in the day was deadly! One of the best (if not THE best) Tecmo combos in history with Marcus Allen/Bo Jackson from the NES versions.
