I don't like this FG-return rule...it's gonna kill us! If you have a so-so kicker and you play so-so D, this rule is gonna kill you all season long. I hope LaPolice has a way to take care of that.

You can return missed FGs in the NFL too . It just happens more often in the CFL because the field goal posts are on the goal line and not at the back of the endzone.

All they need to do is get the special teams unit playing their assignments and containing the outside while also making their tackles. If they do that it shouldn't be so bad but it's easier said than done. I definitely expect some big changes on ST at practice this week though.

Re: 2010 CFL Season

I gotta say the first two games the people in the US with NFL-N have gotten have been extremely entertaining ones. I was hoping Hamilton could pull off the win but oh well. (no no i'm not betraying the Argos. It's just the way I felt with the flow of the game)

I guess they have better kickers in the NFL. Come on, Serna!

Re: 2010 CFL Season

Serna is really killing us. The missed field goals suck. Like C'mon dude. Those missed FG returns for TD's kill us. Hell that's why we lost yesterday. He makes that FG and we win.

But it's not only that. He can only kick the ball to the 25 yard line on kick offs!
Really. All the other kickers get it atleast to the 10. The team we kick off to gets and automatic 15+ yards start on us every possession. Hell bring back Westwood. He can atleast kick the ball of to the 10, and who knows, he may even be a better place kicker.

In South America Alex is usually in long form as Alexis. Same thing with baseball player Alex Rios, when he first came into MLB he was referred to as Alexis but apparently he made it clear that he didn't like that and everyone calls him Alex now. Same goes for Alex Ramirez.

Anyways, even though the Lions lost I got to say the temporary Empire Field is GORGEOUS! Especially the turf and how it seems to play. Tis a shame they'll be going back to BC Place next year but it'll be a retractable roof stadium from now on so that should mean more open air games. Hopefully they port this turf as well.
