I am still checking it out, I have let reviews decide to skip it in the past since I was already buying Madden and NFL2Kn. I am not getting ESPN this year, so I am going to give fever a shot.

I hate to break it to you but ESPN Football is NFL2K series

Re: EGM Fever Review

Personally I wouldnt make a judgement based on EGM--I dont think they know [censored you naughty boy] if it was comin out their asses.
wait to the games are out.
If fever made alot of changes to the game like they said I cannot see how it will be that bad.
I personally think espn will be the game to get this year based on what Ive seen so far.
Madden doesnt look much different than 2003. You think at least they would give us some new models without the bobblehead look.

Re: EGM Fever Review

I got my egm today and us disgusted at the length and how uninformative the reviews are. Egm should be shot down for this. Madden got the longest review and it wasn't even a full page. espn and fever didn't even get full paragraphs from the reviewers. You can't review a football let alone any sports game with such little writing. If you want a real review pick up next months PSM. I got mine today and maddens review is 3 pages and espn's is 2 and a half pages, both are very informative.

Re: EGM Fever Review

Game Informer described each football game but was as descriptive as the back of the container the game comes in. Although they did have a ranking system. It goes like this

Front End\Gameplay\Online\Graphics

80 80 85 85 Fever 2004
95 90 85 90 Madden 2004
90 90 80 90 ESPN
80 80 80 75 Blitz Pro

Yeah, but that's just a preview.

IMHO the magazine did an excellent feature comparison. At least we know Fever uses the XBox hardware (8,000 textures).

As long as MS has tightened up the defense (each team should play like it's NFL counterpart), and made player attributes mean something (this was covered in the XSN Forum) the game will be a nice alternative to ESPN Football.
