Why doesn't 2k make an NCAAF game?

EA never actually monopolized the license, but they just drove 2k out of the market. Perhaps they will get back in the market and make an actual good 2k football game?

EA bought the exclusive rights to the NCAA Football license near the time they got the NFL one too. It runs out after this bowl season, and since it hasn't been renewed I think that either

a) EA and the NCAA have not agreed on a renewal deal and can;t officially announce a new deal

or

b) EA is not going to buy the license exclusively anymore and is willing to allow 2k to make a game too

2K stopped making college football games before EA signed the deal. The last college football they made wasn't any good and sold horribly so the just stopped making them. EA signed the deal a good two or three years after that.

It should also be pointed out that the 2k college game wasn't developed by Visual Concepts.
