2010'S What is the best football game of all time ROUND 2

I thought this should be mentioned because its been left out of this fine but short list of great football video games.

There is not one "NFL GameDay" showing up on the list and by mentioning this I may be dating myself but thats ok.

GameDay premired long before the Madden and NFL 2k series but has been omitted from the list,from circa 1997 (maybe earlier) to 2005 GameDay was the thorn in Maddens side and should have their game series on this list.

Before the XBOXs and Playstations there were other great video football games guys it appears that someone has forgotten the front runners that made the current games what they are today especially the "GameDay" series which should be mentioned here.

It depends on what you're really asking. Is it "Which game, today, is the best?" Or is it more along the lines of "Which game is the best taking the release date into account (meaning while 2k5 isn't as good as APF 2k8, for it's time, it was the best football game ever). Based on the results of the poll, I'd say the latter is how everyone seems to be reading this. As far as which game is the best today, I think it's going to be Madden 12 easily over NCAA 12 and then Madden 11. But if we're talking about for it's time, I think it would definitely be 2k5 or Madden 12 (obviously depending on how good 12 is this year, but it looks great).

Madden has been around since the late 80's early 90's. GameDay started in late 1995. NFL GameDay 97 and 98 on PSone were the best ones. After those, the series went downhill, almost came back but didnt (thanks to EA purchasing the NFL and NFLPA licenses) and died.

As for 2K, it started on Dreamcast and before it was NFL and Montana before it. Remember Sports Talk Football anyone???

Personally, I have always thought that the alternative to Madden was a better game whether it was Montana, Tecmo, GameDay or NFL 2K.

Anyway, I agree. GameDay should be on the list.

1. NFL 2k5
2. APF 2k8
3. Backbreaker
4. Madden 12
3. NCAA 12

lol What surprise that 2k5 is STILL the number one sim football game lol

But seriously look at the void of all the football games... Exclusive rights is really not good sim football fans! This is sad... NO WAY IN THE WORLD SHOULD A GAME FROM LAST GEN SHOULD BE THE BEST THAN THE NEW GAMES IN THE SAME GENRE... That's like saying
Golden EYE for N64 is still the BEST FPS STILL.... That not true because we have game such as BF1 2 3, all the Call of Duties, Hell home Front is better than Golden EYE lol

For Those of you who are old enough to have played it,, Fb Pro98 should have been on that list.. I still play it.. Sure Not a "Pretty" game but a Great Game!

Is that the games working title, I tried inputing that to look it up and no such luck sounds simular to Front Page Sports.
