Ea dropped the licence 2 years ago due to poor sales.

I think 2K is waiting on the NFL after next season so i don't think there going to jump in the AFL market.

If anyone does decide to make a game it will be a smaller company. So that could be a good thing if it's done correctly

2011 will actually be the AFL's 2nd season back, but I don't see an AFL game coming out this year. Like others have said, if one comes out it will probably be by a smaller company and not EA. I never really got into the EA AFL games, but I think that was partially because I didn't have a home town team to play as. Sure, I could've created a team, but it just isn't the same especially since I had to replace an existing team. But now with the Pittsburgh Power starting play in 2011, I'd definitely get into an AFL game if one were made.

I loved that NFL Blitz-style arena game that came out way back in the PS1 days.

Maybe if the rumors are true about EA reviving Blitz they could do the same with the Arena League, but that won't be until at least 2012.

i dont like that there will be people who trash arena football and know nothing about it. and i just know they would love it if they gave it a chance. arena football my favorite football league. its my favorite game to play but ea was lazy making it. they should of let us have created playbooks and let us use them online and they should of let us have 100 export teams on 1 memory card like madden 10 ps2 and all football games need a lateral button and all football games need custom controler lay outs
