Lack of Football Text Sims

How come there doesn't seem to be a lot of Football Text Sims out on the market? A lot of people believe FOF 2007 is still the best football text sim and that Professional Football Simulator is damn good as well, but why not more? Football is the most popular sport in the United States. I'm just kind of puzzled. I know there are some in "talks" but not much information has came about. Have the developers of OOTP ever talked about doing a Football Sim?

A Football Text Sim as deep as OOTP = Heaven.

Why can't someone make it happen?

About the OOTP thing... in Germany, "football" means soccer. So, no (American) football sim from Markus.

I still played Football Mogul '07 until July 2010.

Im thinking of grabbing the baseball one soon.

You could also grab Front Page Sports Football and sim tbe games. Gameplannig/play designs etc ...all there and pretty deep.

Well that's that. If he doesn't know the rules it would be pretty tough. LOL

That is true. I've said before that I might try to make a football text sim at some point. Don't hold your breath though lol

If you are intrested in College...try Bowl Bound College Football. Very deep, and great solo as well as online leagues. I have the Tarheels, in my offline league, finally got a winning record after 3 years, but next year I have to rebuild again....just love the college game.

BBCF is a good game, but it lacks a lot of the customisation that sets a game like OOTP apart from everything else.
