Re: NFL Fever Vets?
Fever had great graphics and I did enjoy the progression feature which provided brief "scouting reports" on how each of your individual players were currently playing.
For me, the only problem was what I felt was unbalanced play in the single player.
No matter how poorly rated your offensive players were, with the lone exception of your running back, it was too easy to score. If you had a terrible running back, the CPU was usually able to keep you in check but any quarterback in the game was capable of putting up 1 or 2 play scoring drives with long bombs to any receiver in the game.
On the defensive end, it was too hard to consistently stop the CPU-teams no matter how highly rated your line or secondary was. Covering guys closely just led to a circus catch from the CPU receiver, even if they were double covered. It was easier to pile up user INT's in Fever than most other football games I've ever played, but there was still a feeling that you didn't have total control over things on defense.
