I spent the first quarter getting accustomed to it, so I took 2 sacks per series. I would get about 4 yards per carry rushing with Dunn, at first I was irritated that I couldn't sub in Duckett from the play call screen, but found out he comes in automatically on big sets. Didn't feel like Vick was fast enough, also the controls have been changed, last year I think you could press on the right joystick and run, this year, you press white. Graphics are top notch, I changed my playlist to one of my custom ones, but did not hear if it played over the PA system.
I enjoyed trigger passing, I doubt I'll go for the read and lead, but one of my gripes with other football games is not being able to lob enough when I wanted to which would lead to pick offs. I had no problem with trigger once I got the hang of it. Also, the Ai was forgiving on veteran, they didn't pick me, but knocked the ball down. I'll up it to allpro and see if that gets more picks. I dont want it as extreme as Madden, but expect to be punished for blatant bad throws. Regarding trigger, I like how you press the button to look to your receiver and you can still move around the pocket before you throw it. It lets you wait for the cut providing you have enough time. The Steelers blitzed a lot on first downs so I took sacks initially, then my coach mentioned that to me so I could keep the backfield in place blocking. I couldn't figure out how to do that so I still took some sacks lol.
On defense, I figured out the macros, only you have to make up your mind before the offense snaps the ball. It worked well, especially when my coach tipped me off about how often they run up the middle. Bettis still scored twice on me via up the gut runs, but the Falcons dont have the personnel to stop that kind of attack so I didn't mind. The cpu ran more than passed if I recollect. I'm going to try out a passing team and see how they change their playcalling tendencies.
I noticed that you cannot change names of existing players, but you can edit attributes, so you redskin fans will have to recreate your star linebacker.
