It's about time for a CFL Game!!

Personally if I were to buy a football game other than Madden or NCAA it would be an Arena League over CFL.

The Arena game that came out for PS2 a few years ago wasn't anything special but if a developer were to make a solid Arena game I would definitely give it a look.

maybe thats something that could be made for 10.00 for xbla or psn network. i would definitely buy it. i like the cfl alot more than arena thats for sure.

They could make a CFL/UFL game together..
Just use Madden template and replace all NFL stuff with CFL/UFL.
I'd buy it if it came out on PC.

The problem is that the CFL has pretty vastly different rules from other leagues.

Some would call that distinctive.

But yes, the rules vary quite a bit:
- field dimensions (length, width and endzone)
- 3 down football
- no safety touch
- single points
- and, oh ya, 12 players per team on the field, etc...

And yes, there are (at this time) only eight teams in the league.
And yes, while the fan base would be considerably smaller than the NFL, I've posted before that because the NFL and CFL do have players migrating between the two leagues from time to time, I would think it very cool to have the CFL game packaged within...say...Madden as an alternate league???

Probably a nightmare to totally design a completely different game, with little/no monetary upside, but it would be cool to move players between the leagues - Theisman - Moon - Flutie - Rickie Williams - Rocket Ismail - and actually quite a few others over the years - and have the NFL players either struggle to learn the CFL game for their first year...or dominate.

And, because it's a 3 down game, it's a pass-happy league, if you ever have a chance to catch a game! Both your QB/Receivers and Punter get a workout!

I really like the single point, and punt rules (i.e anyone can punt at any time) it has lead to some insane endings.

What if they made a football game with 24 generic teams but you can select NCAA, NFL, CFL or Arena Football rules. It could be called Big Hit Football 13 if released next year

I've been wanting this forever. Maybe a Backbreaker style logo maker and I would pay 60 a year for it.
