As I've said loads of times here and elsewhere, that would be my idea. A generic, HIGHLY editable football game using an updated and tweaked 2k8 engine. How editable is "HIGHLY"? well, OOTP should be the target, at least.

Even on a console that would work, if they could make the mod tools reasonably usable with a controller, or use a separate PC app (there's probably some securty issues with the latter, but I'd imagine it could be done).

I have said before I personally don't see 2k trying to make another football game anytime soon. Sony might if they can get a license though (NCAA 14 The Heisman anyone?)
