Pro Football Simulator - May 2013 Release

Hi all,

We just recently released a new version of PFS. It's been several months, so it feels good to get back into development.

Release Date: 5/7/2013

Main Release Features:

New League Formats
Tweaks to 2D display (midfield logos)
Tweaks to AI for advanced playcalling ratios
Editing Players and modifications of jerseys now available
Games/Games Started updates
Fixes for historical draft class duplicate players
Fix for unicode strings in import files (now allows umlauts, etc.)
New Minimum contract structure based on overall
Fix for draft pick trading during free agency
Misc UI updates
Misc HTML updates (draft picks)
New League Chat screen

This is the first update of 2013. There are several updates to the game to make it more usable, add more features, and make it more accurate.

There are also some advanced features that should enable experienced users to tune the playcalling engine to match the era they wish to simulate.

Thanks for everyone's support!

In sandbox mode can you play a real time game between User VS User offline?

Do you get a download code or wait for a disc?

The game comes in demo mode which allows you to play 2 seasons in various formats. If you purchase the game you get a code via email that will unlock all of the formats and no season restriction.

In sandbox mode you control all of the teams, so you could do human versus human off line.

Yes of course. I play with an entirely made up league. I've played like 60 seasons with the Chicago Mafia.

cool, also is it possible to change the number of playoff teams cause running a season with 34 games is awesome, but seeing only 4 or 6 playoff teams kinda sucks a bit.

Re: Pro Football Simulator - May 2013 Release

Most of the leagues in the game were requested by various members of the community and the playoff structures were set at that time.

Each league will have its own rules on who makes the playoffs and how many teams make the playoffs. I agree that some of them seem like not enough teams make it, but there are other formats where I think too many teams are in.

If you're looking to recreate a particular league you can always request a new league format and I'll do what I can to get it added in a future release.
