both games franchise mode's will be awesome, i think madden's will be a slightly better because of the already deep owner mose and the radio show should be cool, but the weekly prep for espn also looks pretty deep so you can't go wrong with either game

They both have pros and cons, I believe this year they will be equal in their own aspects, its just I feel I am leaning towards with a better franchise, and importing Rookies is awesome, but it breaks my heart for the gameplay is getting a bit stale and they really havent released anything. I have preordered ESPN, now just waiting on a bit more info from Madden to secure my deposit

In case anyone forgot to mention...Madden also has a weekly prep for the next opponent in this years game. Its not as extensive as ESPN's but it probably doesn't need to be. From what I read there are a few mid week tasks that you can control to prepare for your next game using the Palm Pilot thingy. Certain factors will have impacts on the units performance. This is in addition to the storyline central.

I would rather the extensive weekly prep ideas than Owners mode, radio show HOWEVER ESPN needs a NCAA game of same great quality as ESPN2k5 for importing real players. Hopefully player progression and retiring glitches are fixed in both games this year. If drafts, cPU trade AI and FA pick-ups are done right it will be probably tight this year.

it will be tight based with off the field features, but on the field, Madden really broke my heart last year, and hopefully they will make it up to us all soon in 2005. I do not need another 49-41 victory, unless it is right, but I play with the cowboys, and there was no way I could score near 50 points and left up 40 points

ESPN franchise is going to be good, but Madden is going to be better in IMO.
- Import players from NCAA 2005
- Franchise tags and restricted FA
- owner mode
- Storyline central
- Radio show
- Position Battles
- Weekly prep
- Naming team captions
- Change players positions(ex. Strong saftey to Conerback etc.)
- Team Practices
- CPU initiate trades during the draft
- Team Relocation
These are all the features that i can think of in Madden's franchise mode

You really need to adjust your sliders man. Obviously, All-Madden default is not a challenge for you...let me ask you this, do you cheese against the CPU? Going for it on ever fourth down, etc.? What about your Cowboys team? Is it the default team or have you ade 'improvements'?

Don't forget about the new draft. They said there will be a ticker, announcer, and the computer will trade! Also creating new jerseys for your team in owner mode and...let's see, I know there is another thing.
