Pro Football Simulator + Wolverine Studios = DDS Pro Football!

First off, the announcement. We'll be joining forces with Wolverine Studios to build Draft Day Sports: Pro Football 2016.

    http://www.wolverinestudios.com/2015/10 ... imulation/

Overall, that means great news for the community. By joining Wolverine Studios we'll have access to a much larger community. This means more feedback, more players for leagues, and more resources for the game development. We're tripling the size of the development team, and adding much needed UI and graphical support that I've been looking for since the game was launched several years ago.

The game will still be based on the PFS engine that I've been working on. Wolverine Studios (WS) will bring several new features in the future, but for now we're starting with a complete UI overhaul, along with several game and AI updates that have been requested.

I highly suggest that you join the WS community and their forum to join the discussion. http://www.wolverinestudios.com/board/

I will do what I can to monitor this board for questions and support, but I would expect my focus to be on the new site due to the new release.

    Some expected questions:

    1) Will I have to buy the next version?
Yes, DDSPF2016 is a new game with new licensing engine, so it will need to be purchased.

    2) Will my PFS leagues convert over?
Yes, the underlying database is still the same structures as PFS, so your leagues should convert fine. Think of DDSPF as a manual update to PFS. You may have to copy and paste some files, but otherwise it should work normally.

    3) I just bought PFS... can I get a refund or discount on DDSPF2016?
Depends... if you bought the game recently, contact me, and we can work something out.

    4) Will feature X be in the game?
Yes, eventually Just kidding... if you want details on the features in the game you'll have to keep an eye on the WS blog and forum for those discussions. Some of the more pressing features like clock management, play calling, better blitz options, timeouts, late game management and 2015-2016 rosters are all currently in.

    5) Will PFS continue to exist and be updated?
Yes, it exists, but no it will not be updated. I expect most folks to start moving to the DDS franchise to enjoy all that it offers. Eventually several of the features from other DDS games will work their way into football.

    6) What about CFS/College Football Simulator?
We'll have more announcements of this in the future, but it is not dead. I expect it to be released sometime this 2015/2016 season. We made a lot of progress on it and I'm looking forward to working with WS on it as well.

I'll try and answer all questions here in this thread so feel free to chime in.

This, along with Beyond the Sidelines will kick-start the PC American football simulation genre. I'm sure many of us NFL Head Coach fans will be excited for the future.

Greydog's Bowl Bound Pro Football may still be in the works. The update to the college game gave us some hope.

We use PFS to run our Sim League at my site (Link in Sig if interested) and will look to be the first league to make the switch when the time comes.

We'll be heading into our Third Season in the next two weeks!
