I remember back in the day when it was all EA who was implementing tons of new features in each year. Now they have been surpassed by they're rivals. I'm going with whoever makes the most improvments. And it looks like Sega won me over this year. Yea, Storyline Central sounds ok, but the thing that we as players want is immersivness. Listening to someone talk may provide to be interesting but in the long run it'll be useless.

Anyway, I'm going with ESPN and NCAA this year. I cant for the life of me figure out why NCAA is always leaps and bounds better than Madden.

I feel the same way. The games have gotten a bit stale as it's the same engine every year with minor improvements. I notice each year I get sick of the games earlier and earlier because I've already played them out the year before.

The only one I'm buying new is ESPN because of the $20 price tag. I'll just buy last years versions of Madden and NCAA and save myself the $100.

Also, last year's online improvements (voice chat, leagues) exicted me, but I just never have enough time to commit to online play. And, when I did play, I really didn't feel like talking to the asshat on the other end (Too many heavy breathers, freaks me out), so voice chat was pointless. Leagues eventually fell apart like they do every single year.

OT: Why don't games let you use the Keyboard to talk smack (i.e. NFL2K1 for dreamcast)? I loved that, that way you never had to hear your opponents usually whiny voice. I hate realizing that I'm playing a 12 year old online when I'm 26.
