Well I have more appreciation for Indie projects, than for EA in general. I also don't need a game to have original names of teams and players. So I'll give it a go this year.

Does anyone have a rough estimate as to when the beta will come out? I preordered my copy to get beta access, just dont know when it will be lol

This was in my email from 1/6/17

"Beta testing will begin in a few months, and we will reach out at that time for information on how to access it."

So March/April maybe?
