Axis Football 18: Coming to a PS4 & Xbox One Near You

I personally think the gameplay in the 2017 version is very solid, generates very realistic/normal stats. The only thing it was missing was real roster control and franchise options (more). If that get that piece right, they will replace Madden for me.

I hadn't even heard of this game until now. Will '18 still release on PC?

Keep doing your thing, folks. For those of us fed up with Madden, I look forward to someone knocking EA off their pedestal in the future. The sports market really needs that competition.

The QB movement is infinitely better than previous. The game looks better for sure. Considering Madden has been at it for 20 years or so and these guys are relatively new its pretty good. Some areas that I want to see improved.

First and glaring is the line play. DLine rushing past the QB when they could turn around and easily disengage. Also it feels as though WR run a route and CB follow, want to see more interaction between them.

Looking forward to seeing what we get next, and hopefully we can support these devs to keep going.

I had a chance to talk videogames with a couple football fans yesterday. They are casual fans of football videogames, only buying Madden every couple years or so to see what has changed/improved.

Of course, I told them about Axis Football. I think I set expectations at a realistic level; that it was an indie football game and would be pretty basic this year. Just so I have my facts straight when talking with people about Axis Football 2018, please correct me when I say:

-Axis Football will be out around July.
-It will be $29.99 (Physical release? Or just digital?).
-It will not have online play this year.
-You can customize players and team uniforms only (they both owned and played APF2K8 for a few years after it was released so I think they expected that level of customization).

I at least made them aware of Axis Football 2018, and pointed out supporting another game could lead to some real competition with Madden down the road.

I'm curious as I am new to the Axis Football community, I wonder can you change league size in previous Axis Football titles or if it could be a feature.
