A couple questions re customization:

It seems if we edit a team in CFL 9 the changes aren’t carried over to the analogous team in CFL 10 which could be pretty frustrating if I need to edit both sets of teams. Is there a trick that I’m missing?

Canuck Play has said there are no online features so no roster sharing, so is our only option for roster editing to edit each player individually ourselves?

Has anyone noticed much differentiation in players’ skill sets? Is Bo Levi Mitchell noticeably different from, like, anyone under center in Montreal?

All players and teams are fictional and unlicensed. They all have generic ratings and aren't based upon any real players

@Spears ... I'll update a future post (or simply edit this post) in the next couple of days with visual evidence. But for the time being .... issues in spoiler tag to save thread real estate.

(1) Defensive backs running well past the point where the receiver goes for a catch. Defensive backs running out of bounds, leaving the receivers open for a potential catch.

(2) Not sure if the following is purposely programmed to exist or simply a conflict of American vs Canadian football field size, but sometimes receivers will continue running out of bounds trying to make a catch because the throw trajectory travels out of bounds. This could be a boundary (or restriction) issue in the source code because the width of the fields for Canadian and American football (I believe) are different. A lot of plays have the receivers route practically only a couple feet away from the sidelines. American Football routes usually do not straddle that close to the side lines.

(3) Too many long successful passing plays resulting in touchdowns. It could be a combination of the following factors:
(A) Defensive backs lack of speed, something could be slowing down the defensive backs, etc.
(B) Defenders in catch up chase down mode seemingly never dive tackles a receiver or ball carrier running towards the endzone, resulting in long successful passing plays and ultimately leading to successful touchdowns. It appears the defenders that are within reach would have simply attempted a dive tackle, we would cut down on too many long big plays.
(C) The sprint button giving the user an extra speed boost to outrun defenders. Not sure if this is too overpowered resulting in long plays where the CPU defenders can't chase down the ball carrier. I personally like the sprint button (reminds of 2k football), but it does give the user the ability to pull off extremely long touchdown passing plays.

(4) CPU calling timeouts when the time is not running. Usually near the end of quarters around the 2 minute mark (I think).

(5) The clock isn't stopping when it should in American Football rules. I'll try to get footage on this.

(6) Contextual animation issue. The QB throwing animation is out of place when he throws to the right side of the field. The QB faces left and steps towards the left whenever he throws a pass to the right.

(7) "Short yardage" defensive formation contributes to overpowered slant routes. When all defenders including the linebackers are straddling the line along with their D-lineman teammates, there are no linebackers in the middle of field to watch for slants. The middle of field is completely open for big gains.

(8) I didn't see any field goal block or punt block formations.

I actually like the economy of plays but practice mode needs the ability to set the defensive play you're up against and also give you the ability to play defense vs offense. And NO instant replay in practice mode?

Thanks for the info Spear. Will there eventually be an option for custom logo uploads? Recreating an accurate CFL -- logos, uniforms, etc. -- would make this an essential purchase for me.
