Why pass, when obviously the run was workin for them? I think winning solely off the run is more impressive than winning solely off passing. I mean, the whole defense knows it's going to be a run, so why can't they stop him? It was just good play by Bellevue, pass or no pass.

Yeah, that was really sad about Terence Kelly (the guy who got shot a few weeks ago). The kid was 1 or 2 days away from leaving for Oregon on a scholarship, went to go pick up his cousin and got shot by some kid while he sat and waited for the cousin to come out. I live about 10 minutes from De La Salle, so it was real big news here.

I don't recall hearing anything about a QB dying in a car crash, though? Who was it, and when did it happen?

Oh, and Dookie- De La Salle can't just pluck players from anywhere in California as they see fit. It is a private school, and because of their reputation , they do have an advantage over public schools, but the kids who go there still have to live in the area. Maybe not in the same town, but close by nonetheless. It isn't like they go down to SoCal and steal players away from Long Beach Poly or Bishop Amat or wherever and pay for them to move up here and live.

Regarding the streak being broken, I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, all the nationwide attention it has received the last few years is kind of cool to see since I have lived in the area my whole life. On the other, constantly hearing about it was getting pretty old. Reading about it in Sports Illustrated or seeing one of their games on ESPN is cool, but having 90% of the local newspaper's sports section taken up every single day during the season gets annoying after a while.

Man... I live in Concord and everyone I knew that liked football, was so pissed about how DLS lost... Last time they lost Regan Upshaw was on the Pittsburg High team. My sister was a senior and went there at the time.

Well De La Salle lost another streak and started a new one.

They lost their first home game. They had won 150+ consecutive games at home.

And now they're on a 2 game losing streak...
