After the stuttering fiasco that Madden was on PC in 2019 and EA's complete failure to fix it while continually stating a fix was in the works, I'm done with that franchise. I'm hopeful one of the indie titles (Rivals, Axis, or Legend Bowl) will provide a fun football experience this year.

Definitely has some exciting elements!* I'll be watching this one closely.* *I am still looking for the true spiritual successor to Front Page Sports Football Pro!

More casual-friendly sports games that aren't glitchy messes with a glorified casino mode intended to prey on the vulnerable are the future of sports games imo. As a consumer,* I am so ready to only give my money to quality developers who listen to the community and are dedicated to providing a positive experience to their users. I'm really dying for a game like Hoop League, Retro Bowl, SMB, or this to try the hockey genre (Yes, I know SBH exists but it's not modern enough to grab my attention)* because I am dying for a hockey game that's just straight-up FUN again.*

I still play NHL Hitz Pro despite it's age really showing due to the sliders that consistently work unlike NHL 20 and because the mechanics are simple, fair, balanced, and can be a totally passable "sim" experience with perfect balance of fun and sim which EA's offering just can't provide on a consistent basis.
