Such a fun game. Only wish it had a broadcast camera. With widescreens, I don’t know why we can’t have a broadcast cam game like Tecmo Bowl.

everything that you mentioned in this article is how I feel about this title.

I just finished a season with the NFL mod. The only thing I find is that the running game/running the ball to the outside is still a bit overpowered even on the hard level.

I had to edit my running backs skills to get some more realistic numbers, but then again it is a simcade title.

Ive stated this in the forums, OSers need to support the title. its fun,

Been playing the game during the little time I don't have work and I can't get enough. Defensive controls are a little harder than I'd like it to be but it's everything I could ever want with a 2D football game. Why this game isn't getting coverage from big content creators is beyond me

another good thing about this game that isn't mentioned is the sound design, stadium atmosphere, presentation, etc.

I typically get bored with sports games that don't have play-by-play and color commentary. With that said this game does a great job in this area.

the stadium atmosphere, the little comments/dialogue said by the on-field players, the statistical pop-ups during gameplay, the ticker at the bottom of the screen, and the text that states what just happened on said play is properly balanced. There is enough information given to keep one immersed.

This is another bright spot for this title.

I've been having a lot of fun with the game. The run defense could definitely be better. I feast on the ground. If they ever patch that then I'm doomed offensively, because I pass like Trent Edwards/Teddy Bridgewater.

same here, my passing game is horrible, but I like that. Javo did a good job of replicating the pass game when it comes to decision-making. I have to go through my progressions quickly. and the defense plays good coverage.

kicking game is also challenging.

God I slept on this game. Bought it at release on steam. Sat installed in my library, thought I give a go this weekend. Super Impressed. Applying the NFL mod is simple and easy. Once you get the hang of the controls, it's pure bliss.

Once of my favorite versions of Madden as a kid was Madden 94 on he SNES. I don't know what it is, but this game gives my that feeling again as a kid. Even a Tecmo Bowl vibe in the menus with the music. From the artwork to the gameplay, this game feels very responsive and fun gameplay. IDK, maybe I'm old, but this game is really fun.

I was gonna wait until Franchise Mode too, but saw all the modding possibilities and decided to jump in.

I just released a Franchise Mod, that has drafts, progression and free agency: https://meanjoe.itch.io/legend-bowl-draft

This game is the most fun I've had with football since FBPro 98.
