Is it possible to let the CPU run the entire franchise itself as far as trades, signings, waivers, the draft, etc and have it *also play every game CPU vs CPU that can be spectated with no input from the user? In other words, the CPU does everything in franchise mode that can be be advanced to the next week once every CPU vs CPU spectated game is complete.

Re: Axis Football 2020 Review - Persistence Beginning to Pay Off

This game is the alternative I am looking for. A fictional universe with a deep and immersive franchise mode that I can play in coach mode and watch the action from the broadcast camera and have full customization over my fictional football universe. Player ratings will rule the action.

I am really looking forward to the PS4 release in November and sinking my teeth into it.

From what I remember, I don't think it's possible to automate your entire season. I'll double check and reply with an edit to this post if I find something, though. The only automation I remember is depth chart optimization, and the option to randomize/automatically generate players and automatically align tiers once you begin a Franchise. Also, you can't begin a game if your team has less than 53 players. I can't recall if you're able to automatically scout or draft players, either.

You can, however, play an entire season with your team in coach or spectator mode. You are also able to spectate every scheduled league game.

I've played neither, but a poster in the Sunday Rivals thread said that it is the best of any of the indie football games this year.

I would go with Axis over Flutie at this juncture.
