This has been something that was on my mind recently that came about while I was doing a deep dive on some old football games. So if anyone remembers this, please let me know that I’m not crazy lol.

I want to say this was during the mid to late 2000s, but was there not a fictional football game named “Road to Glory” that was scrapped? A lot of details are fuzzy on who was going to publish and develop the game, but I remember there was a whole article on it, and they had concept art about what they were working on and how they envisioned the game being.

I remember this being the "spiritual successor" to the NFL GameDay series, but it likely didn't get too far into development before being scrapped.

This is exactly the one! Looking at it again, this looks as though it served as a some inspiration to Blitz The League. Thanks for leading me to this.

Similar concepts, but two different gaming studios (989 Sports and Midway Games) respectively were developing them.
