2K HOCKEY SIMULATOR early access, the Nhl 2k11 pc mod by djneo coming Feb 26 2016 as a free downolad for hockey fans to enjoy!

Accurate rosters incl. players faces and jerseys for NHL, IIHF (Olympic/national) and historic teams.
Olympic and Winter classic arena.

Online play probably possible, lets see what future brings..

How about some details. How powerful of a PC do you need to run this? Is this fully functional? Would this be online compatible? Are updates to rosters applicable?

How about some details. How powerful of a PC do you need to run this? Is this fully functional? Would this be online compatible? Are updates to rosters applicable?

1) depends on which resolution you wanna play.
I play on 4k, 60fps, quite a lot of fx and till now 0 crashes. And during testing I do some crazy things.

2) yes fully. I play with ps4 controler and mapped controls ala ea skill stick. There is one problem that I still didnt solve and it is that dpad is still not working corectly.

3) online not tested. Im not that far yet.

4) I didnt test moving with roster. But you can save anything, just like on any console or pc, so I dont expect any problems there.

My plan is to completely remake the technical side of game. 4k ready textures, fonts, menus and hopefully even sounds.

I already contacted Nicholas (ex 2k dev) if he could help me with few things. Lets see how it goes..

Hard to say.
My specs are i7920 3.4, 12gb ram which is quite old. I have new graphics tho 980ti.

But I hear from everywhere that Dolphin needs better cpu, not graphics card. So with that in mind, quite mediocre pc?

The most important thing is that they keeps improving the code of emulator. Which is the main part.

I don't know what Dolphin is. I assume that's the emulator. I know that processor speed is the main factor for these things vs. available mem. I can't even run the PS2 one on my rig. It's older.

I am fascinated by this! An ability to play an NHL game with a franchise mode on the PC? Something better than the completely mediocre NHL 09? I am not a computer whiz, but I would love to hear more about how I can play this!!

Instalation will be pretty simple.
You have to own original copy of 2k11.
I will post link somewhere with "UPDATE" data.
You will simple copy them to your documents directory and thats it.

Dolphin will do the rest...


As for the rosters.. It would be great to have some pc editor.
Also any goalie mask artist around?

Can you explain how this works? I don't have a Wii - is that an issue? I would be happy to buy a copy of 2k11, but I am not sure how to go from there - does the Wii use CDs? Do you just put the Wii NHL2k11 CD into the PC disc drive? Thanks!

Your better off asking on 2khockey.net or whatever it's called these days. Most guys here are EA'ers.

Can't talk in detail as it's technically against OS TOS. Google emulators.
