    The UFC League

I will be using UFC 4 to create a new fight league that resembles the structure of the Professional Fight League (PFL). Starting with the Women's Bantamweight division, I will select eight fighters and put them through a regular season and playoff until a champion is crowned.

    Number of Fights

Each fighter will be scheduled for three fights during the regular season.

    Bout Specifications

    Three 5-min Rounds
Five 5-min Rounds for title fights

    Point System

    Win: 3
    Draw: 1
    Loss: 0

    Bonus Points For Stoppages (KO/TKO/Submission)

    Round 1: 3
    Round 2: 2
    Round 3: 1
    Round 4: 1
    Round 5: 1

    Standings

The top four fighters with the most points at the end of the regular season make the playoffs. The playoffs will be conducted in a single-elimination bracket format.

Season 1, Week 1: Jessica Andrade vs. Cris Cyborg

        Round 1

In the opening round, Cyborg executed a powerful head kick that sent Andrade, stumbling backward against the cage. Looking to take advantage, Cyborg quickly closed the distance and gained a dominant position on the ground, where she unleashed a flurry of strikes in an attempt to secure a first-round victory. However, time expired just as Andrade managed to survive the onslaught.

        Round 2

Despite her efforts to take the fight to the ground, Andrade found little to no success against Cyborg, who defended well and kept the fight standing. However, as Andrade attempted a body kick, Cyborg seized the opportunity and landed a powerful right hook to the back of her head, sending Andrade crashing to the canvas. Cyborg wasted no time in following up with a series of punches on her grounded opponent before referee Herb Dean stepped in to stop the fight. With the second-round finish, Cyborg earned five points to kick off the season and reminded the world of her devastating striking power that has her listed as one of the greatest Women's MMA fighters of all time.

          Round 1

Although Tate landed more strikes than Shevchenko, it was a powerful head kick from the former Flyweight Champion that sent Tate to the canvas.

          Round 2

The fight ends up on the ground and Shevchenko gets the upper hand, forcing Tate to tap with a Kimura to earn 5 points in the standings.

              Round 1

The Bantamweight title will be on the line whenever the champ is fighting, starting with Amanda Nunes defending the belt against former champion Holly Holm.

              Round 2

As time was running out in the second round, it became clear that a finish was necessary to create a four-way tie at the top of the standings. In a critical moment, Holm delivered the same head kick that won her first UFC championship.

                  Round 1

Julianna Pena made history as the first fighter in the league to score six points, thanks to her impressive first-round submission of former champion Amanda Nunes. Pena's victory put her back in the playoff hunt, with a record of 1-1 and six points, heading into the final week of the regular season. On the other hand, Nunes's record fell to 0-2, with zero points. She now faces a must-win situation in the next week, requiring a first-round finish to keep her playoff hopes alive.

Season 1, Week 2: Cris Cyborg vs. Ronda Rousey

                    Round 1

After a series of back and forth exchanges in the standup, Rousey realized her best chance of winning was to take the fight to the ground. She utilized her signature judo throw to take Cyborg down, but unfortunately, Rousey was unable to secure a finish before time ran out.

                    Round 2

Just 15 seconds into the second round, Rousey executed another Judo takedown and followed up with a unique armlock submission that forced Cyborg to tap out, earning Rousey another 5-point victory.

                      Round 2

The regular season finale begins with a high-stakes fight between two fighters who desperately need a first-round finish to make the postseason. The first round was closely contested, with both fighters trading strikes and grappling exchanges. However, with just seconds remaining in the round, Nunes secured a takedown and quickly transitioned to a D'arce Choke submission, forcing Andrade to tap out. The win gave Nunes a much-needed six points, putting her in the final playoff spot. However, with three more fights to be decided, she will still need some help holding on to the fourth seed.

For the first time this season, we had a fight make it to the third round. Despite being eliminated from playoff contention after failing to earn a first-round finish, Tate put up a strong fight and showed her resilience, but ultimately was unable to secure her first win. With 3:58 left in the final round, Cyborg landed a devastating standing knee to Tate's chin, knocking her out cold. With the win, Cyborg earned enough points to secure her spot in the playoffs, while Tate became the only fighter in Season 1 to finish without a win. Cyborg's victory also painted a clearer picture of the playoff race.
