Joris Mathjsen 3,500,000€ Hamburger SV Bayern Leverkusen
Out of all the transfers made this transfer window, the most confusing one has to be Ryan Giggs' departure from his lifetime club Manchester United. It is unknown what made Giggs decide to move or if it was a decision from Ferguson himself.

The best player to be traded was Gignac who goes south from French club Toulouse and has found his way to Spanish club Villarreal. Another French national Mandanda also found his way south of the border, traveling from Marsielle to Atlético Madrid.

Several Italians found new homes as well, De Rossi moved within Seria A to Fiorentina, whilst Marchetti and Pellissier moved to Tottenham and VfL Wolfsburg respectively.

The youngest player to be traded was the Brazilian Sosa who went from German powerhouse Bayern Munchen to Italian club Lazio, while fellow teammate Philipp Lahm moved to FC Schalke.

ST Marcos Márquez Joselu ST
At this point Celta desperately needed more than just a point to get their spirits up. Catalá sat the game out so Bustos moved back to RB and Vasco Fernandes moved over to the right CB position while Saulo got his first start of the season. They were one of the last ranked teams so far and even though it was early in the season, analysts had already started writing them off as a possible relegation team.

Celta came out strong early on but couldn't find the back of the net. Saulo and Michu both had good chance but the keeper managed to get his fingers on it both times. Márquez found himself wide open but was offside on what would have been a Palma goal. After 7 shots, Joselu finally scored a header on an Abalo cross in the 40th minute.

Palma went into an all out attack for the majority of the second half. Saulo came off in exchange for Trashorras. Several times Palma got a chance to score, 2 corners and 5 shots within a 5 minute period ended finally with an Ortega clearance. Yoel had a challenge but in the end kept a clean sheet as time expired.

Re: Celta de Vigo's Return to Prominence

Yes I realize Palma's goalkeeper's name was Assmann. Its not a typo because apparently it is German even though he is Argentinian... idk.

Villarreal B dominates the team of the month standings with 2 forwards and 2 wingers being nominated. Celta isn't far behind with both of their central midfielders and one defender. Las Palma also got 2 men from their defensive line and Murcia and Cartagena finish with the former getting a center back and the latter getting the keeper spot.

Re: Celta de Vigo's Return to Prominence

Chapter 3: Trouble? Or fortune?

"Come on you Blues!!!" he yelled, spilling his popcorn as he lept from his seat. It was costing him a hefty price to get the premium package off a satellite worth almost more than his apartment. But it was the only way to get English-speaking channel and Sky Sports was showing games from last season. Spain was beautiful and while it wasn't Miami it did have its perks.

It had only been a month since the season started, 3 months since he had been given the job and while things were going well at the club they had yet to truly play a good team. Villarreal's second team was up next and with a club like Villarreal currently dominating La Liga, there is no telling what kind of talent was lurking on what is basically there reserves.

The telephone started ringing and he slowly got up, never taking his eyes off the screen, reaching blindly around for the receiver.

He picked it up, "Hola?"

"Sr. Viñas?" came the reply on the line in an official tone.

"S
í, qué tal?" he was not sure who the anonymous caller was or his reason for calling, he paused to try and understand what was being trying to be presented to him. He started to remember words like cárcel and detenido and he finally understood what was happening, Eusebio had been arrested for drinking too much "fino", whatever that was, and had been arrested for public intoxication.

"Voy a estar allí pronto" he said, sighing heavily on the last few syllables. He had never gotten the impression that Eusebio was a drunk, he had decided that he was at most just in a pissed off mood all the time. Grabbing his keys, he head out the door and climbed into what some people might call a car, others would call it a piece of a certain four letter word.

"Eusebio what the hell?" it had started raining on the way towards the jail and his lack of knowledge of the layouts of the streets made travel difficult. "You know Carlos isn't going to like this."

"He will get over it," stuttered Eusebio who obviously was not good at holding his liquor, "just get me out of this place."

"They are pulling up the paperwork." This situation was worse than one would think, Moriño's daughter had been killed by a drunk driver almost 20 years ago and he had inforced a ban on all alchohol on all club faculty. It wasn't until the team's fortune started going south that he decided alchohol could be sold at games in order to try and keep fans at the games.

"Cerdo estúpido." Came a booming voice from down the cell blocks. He turned and saw Moriño himself powering through some guards like he was Brian Urlacher. They managed to keep him back from the cell but Moriño and Eusebio traded words. He was lost as usual when in Moriño's presence but he did catch some of the foul language, because that is what everyone learns when studying a new language right?

"
No mostrar en el club mañana!" he screamed at the top of his lungs before remarking in a calm, soothing voice, "Sr. Viñas you are charge of club."

He wasn't sure what to be more surprised at, the fact that he was now the head coach or that his Mr.
Moriño spoke a little bit of English.

"What to do....."

"Oh dear lord..." only 3 days had past since the Eusebio incident and his unwelcome promotion. One thing was certain, they would need luck in order to fit into his new pyramid formation.

As soon as the opening kickoff Joselu led the team into a quick attack straight through the middle of Villarreal's back line. Villarreal quickly cleared it however and managed to keep Celta out of their box for a good 20 minutes. In the 25th minute Oubina and Gaitan both managed to hit screamers off the crossbar, needing Joselu to come up with a header rebound to score the first goal of the match.

As the second half began, both fullbacks for Celta got pulled in favor of some younger legs in Mallo and Aparicio. Gullon of Villarreal got a yellow card in the 49th minute due to a late slide tackle on Oubina. After 10 minutes Villarreal striker Ruben managed to get behind the Celta central defenders and chipped Falcon to even the game up.

Celta went into an all out attack the remainder of the game and eventually Mayorquin scored on an Ortega cross. Celta would play keep away until the referee called time after 3 minutes of stoppage, leading to Celta's 2nd victory in a row.

Coming in on a winning streak, Celta had no problems getting their 101 fans that they could win, that is a whole figure more than before! Only 4 more days remain until the Spanish Cup opener versus Las Palmas so Celta can't look too far ahead.

Neither team could get started at first, multiple turnovers in midfield kept both teams away from the other's net. About the 25th minute Oubina had a chance at goal but the shot was blocked by Tena, whom failed to clear it properly and Mayorquin scored on a screamer off of Tena's header.

After 10 more minutes of play Rayo got a corner kick which they used to perfection, Piti received it at the near post and hit a bicycle kick past Falcon. The half ended all tied up at 1 all.

After the second half started, Rayo applied pressure early, forcing turnovers and keeping the ball in Celta territory. Pelegrin picked up a yellow card while trying to keep Joselu from breaking away. A few minutes later after a poor shot by Piti, Ortega sent it ahead to Joselu who passed it on to Oubina. He knocked it on past Rayo's back line, finishing by spinning around the keeper and running it into the goal. Neither team would score anymore as time ran out, leading Celta into her 3rd straight win in a row.
